Holy Hour for the Conclave 5/6

Join the faithful of our diocese for a Holy Hour on the eve of the Conclave.

Led by Fr. James Misko, Diocesan Administrator, this time of prayer will include Solemn Exposition and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. We will gather in silence, reflection, and intercession, praying for the election of a Pope “after the heart of the Good Shepherd, Jesus.”

Prayer for a New Pope

Almighty and ever living God, the faithful of the Diocese of Austin beseech you to guide the College of Cardinals in the sacred responsibility of electing the new Pope.  By your grace, grant them wisdom and courage to choose a shepherd after the heart of the Good Shepherd, Jesus.  And may our new Pope be imbued with the Holy Spirit in choosing a new Shepherd for this local Church who will please you by his holiness and guide us along the way with his watchful care.  Invoking the intercession of our patroness, Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, we pray through Christ the Risen Lord, Amen.
